To maintain its global expansion and growth Markit Holding AS is seeking to recruit a Country Manager to its new business IT Market Sweden AB. This position suits someone who enjoys a client facing role and the challenge of growing the business.
In Country Manager’s role you will take responsibility for profit, revenue, cash and quality targets. You are expected to recruit and manage team, including performance monitoring, mentoring and training. The role is client facing and daily contact with clients is a big part of a Country Manager’s job. You will be working on market and customer analysis and long-term and short-term sales planning and reporting. You will be actively working on customer selection and customer development, but also participate in strategy development.
Country Manager’s role requires a strong understanding of how a business operates and successful candidate will have a proven track record demonstrating their understanding and business acumen. A successful Country Manager is demonstrating strong communication, organizational, negotiation and networking skills; is a motivated self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision and possess the ability to assemble and manage teams. Presentation, analytical and planning skills are also essential together with technical capacity. A solid understanding of budgeting and financial planning is essential as this role involves agreeing annual budgets. We expect candidate to have BS/MS degree in business administration or equivalent and/or technical education together with proven record of achieving growth and meeting or exceeding sales targets by successfully managing the sales team. We expect candidate to have previous experience as a sales executive or sales manager. Experience in solution selling or in IT sales and/or purchasing is a big advantage. Country Manager’s role requires ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level. Country Manager reports directly to a Regional Sales Manager.
